The Botany Swarm management and team warmly welcome the following import players to their 2018 playing squad:
Declan Weir is a 24-year-old Irish Canadian two way forward who is bound to bring some spontaneity to our squad. Born in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, he currently plays for eA Schongau II in the Germany6 division.
Harry Ferguson is a 19-year-old Scottish forward and is the youngest of the Botany Swarm imports. He currently plays for the Edinburgh Capitals in the elite Scottish National League. He will bring speed to the team and with his 1.28 points per game to date, he will also add the ability to put points on the board during the upcoming New Zealand Ice Hockey League.
Colin Langham is 24-year-old goal tender from Cummin, Georgia, USA and has spent the past four years playing for Elon University Hockey in the American Collegiate Hockey Association’s second division. With his current statistics of .920 save percentage over the past 11 games, Colin will definitely bring strength to the Botany Swarm’s goal tending.
Lucas Bombardier is a quick left winger currently playing for the SPHL’s Knoxville Bears – tallying two goals and six assists in 18 games this season. Hailing from Pittsford, Vermont, Bombardier also played 12 games in the NCAA for American International College where he played with Andrew DeBrincat, older brother to the Chicago Blackhawks’ Alex DeBrincat. After taking a year off from the game in 2016-17, he returned to NCAA hockey with the third division Trine University – scoring 14 points in 25 games.
