After a close match on Saturday that the Swarm took in overtime, the Swarm's final 2014 game was decidedly less even on the scoresheet as the visiting Stampede took a 4-1 regulation win.

The Botany Swarm played a tight match, with an eventual 7-6 OT win over the visiting Southern Stampede on their final Saturday night game of the 2014 season.
The Swarm were first on the board, with Michael Attwell scoring after some great offensive pressure from his line. The Southern Stampede travel to the HIVE at Botany this weekend hoping not to be stung by the Swarm.
With one win each after the first clash at Queenstown last month both teams are determined to grab the full 6 points and secure 3rd place in this year’s championship.

Another tough match in Dunedin saw the Swarm again fall by a one-goal margin, with Sunday's final score standing at 5-4 in favour of the Thunder.

Saturday's match against the Dunedin Thunder was heart-breakingly close, with a final score of 6-5 seeing the Thunder take the regulation win and leaving the Swarm's backs against the wall in their quest to make the playoffs.

A tough loss for the Botany Swarm saw the Canterbury Red Devils pick up a 5-1 victory in Auckland Sunday evening, and the Toa Kauhanga Riri Tio return to the South Island with them.

The Botany Swarm took a valuable three points Saturday evening in a 7-2 win over the Canterbury Red Devils, playing in their third consecutive meeting of the 2014 season. This result leaves a deadlock at the top of the points table, with the Swarm, Devils and Thunder all on 19 points, although the Devils and Thunder do have 2 games in hand still.

With an absolutely nail-biting 4-3 shootout victory on Sunday, the Botany Swarm collected 5 points from the past weekend’s games – and won the Toa Kauhanga Riri Tio trophy for the first time in the team’s history!

The Botany Swarm put in a superb effort down in Christchurch on Saturday to take a solid 6-2 win over the Canterbury Red Devils, ending their league-leading winning streak and becoming the first team to beat the defending champs in the 2014 regular season.

Last weekend the Botany Swarm defeated league leaders Canterbury Red Devils twice on their home turf, and picked up the Toa Kauhanga Riri Tio trophy in Sunday's win. The trophy will be on the line again for this weekend's second game, with the Swarm playing their first trophy defence.
