The Swarm are excited to add right-handed centerman Andrew Hamburg for the 2015 season.
At 6'3", Andrew adds extra size and strength to the Swarm squad. He has previously played brief stints with the Texas Tornado of the North American Hockey League, the San Francisco Bulls of the ECHL, and in Europe with HC Banska Bystrica, the Tonsberg Vikings, and Skien IHK.
Andrew was a mainstay for the St. Louis Bandits of the NAHL in the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons. He appeared in 93 regular season games, netting 23 goals and bringing in a whopping 80 assists for 103 total points during his two years with the Bandits, averaging 1.11 points per game. During this time, the team won back-to-back Robertson Cup Championships.
Following this, he attended NCAA Division I school Colorado College, where he appeared in 131 games, scoring 23 goals and accumulating 52 total points.
Andrew's coaches praise his size and versatility, and he will bring plenty of experience to the Swarm this season.
